Project 'rotten cookies'With the recent hot topic about Spam/Malware Advertisements, I wanted to add to that note with more information; a so-called "black list", as these names have been slugged over and over by my anti-virus. Doing this won't disable the ads, but the changes you make will protect your computer from the nasty cookies that are being set.Project 'rotten cookies' by Omio9999
What are cookies? Cookies are tidbits of information that is temporarily stored in your browser so that you are identified at places where you choose to remain logged in, and so on. As it turns out, advertisements set these 'cookies' as well.
Now, finally to the meat of this news topic, there are options within your browser (say WHAT?!) that allow you to block them before they're made. I know for certain that Chrome and Firefox do this, but I'm not sure about other browsers. If other users wish to screenshot a how-to in other browsers, especially peculiar ones, then please, note me the URL of the screenshots when uploaded somewhere.
